The Good Planet, Loving God’s Creation, “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good,” Genesis 1:31 is the theme for this year’s Kids Retreat 2023 at Power of God Christian Church, here in Obando Bulacan. Being part of the Children Ministry and as one of the Sunday School Teacher, I am so blessed and proud to share to all of the followers of my website / blog, Modern Journal Trends, the goodness of God. How joyful it is and how wonderful to be part of this activity, that brings glory to God and helping the kids at their very young age, to learn, study, give praise and worship and to introduce God into their lives.
The program started with the registration and grouping of kids into three. Team Explorer ages 4-6, Team Adventurer ages 7-9 and Team Voyager ages 10-12. Followed by Processional, Praise and Worship by Ate Tine and Eli Jirah, Opening Prayer by Ate Cons, Welcome Remarks by Tita Liza, our Ministry leader and head. Followed by all the Lesson Proper, Lessons 1-5, done by Ate Flor, Ate Sarah and Ynah of Team Explorer, Ate Jovel and Ate Tine of Team Adventurer and Ate Cons and Yours Truly, of Team Voyager. With the help of our teacher aids, Ate Rena, Rykiel and Petit.
In between of those lessons are morning snacks, lunch and the afternoon snacks sponsored by one of the best fast food chains in the country, our very own, JOLLIBEE. The kids and workers enjoyed it so much and truly, the best merienda ever, “bida ang saya sa ngiti ng bawat bata.” Thanks so much again to Ripple8 PR Agency for making the Jollibee sponsorship possible.
But the most important thing that these kids learned more over the material things, is the learning of knowing about God, and the foundation it brings to their lives. That really is the number one “Bida ang Saya kay Lord!”
