Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) is the first bank to launch a platform inside its app to allow customers to purchase insurance.
The Insurance Marketplace in the UnionBank app allows account holders to purchase different kinds of Insular Life insurance products. With this, customers can choose from a variety of life insurance plans that protect you from the risk of accidental death and disability, plus added benefits such as daily hospital income or reimbursement on accidental medical and surgical expenses.
“We integrated the insurance marketplace in our app to let our customers conveniently protect themselves from different risks. With this, a wide array of affordable insurance plans is available at their fingertips,” said UnionBank Chief Digital Channels Officer and Chief Customer Experience Officer and Chief Ana A. Delgado.
Insurance premiums start for as low as P99. Plans require a one-time payment only for a one full year coverage. Customers are not required to undergo medical exams.
Insurance against the risk of accidents include: InLife Personal Shield, Duo Shield, Junior Shield, Family Shield, Parent Shield and Legacy Shield. These plans cover you and your loved ones, depending on the plan, against accidents and lets you get reimbursed for medical and surgical expenses.
Meanwhile, life insurances include InLife Protect Plus, Protect 250, and Protect which are life insurance plans with three-in-one protection with accidental death, disability, and hospital income benefit. UnionBank also offers Premium Protect 1000, Premium Protect and Premium Protect Plus which are life insurance plans with hospital income benefits.
“This insurance marketplace within the UnionBank app is our answer to the growing need of our customers for accessible and affordable insurance plans with the least person-to-person contact possible,” Delgado said.
