Since then, the path was not so much walked on but strutted upon as she sang for rock and roll legend Wally Gonzalez, Strawberry Fields, KO Jones and so on and so forth. She also started the hardcore drum and bass/ electronic outfit FEEN, playing big festivals like Malasimbo and Dutdutan. Yet, just as the archetypal wolf preys on the wayward young maiden, so does the corporate world have its way with unsuspecting artists.
Juno immersed herself in conference calls and budget plans for the next several years, but the voice of La Loba was never far behind. And when the pandemic forced the world to stand still, she called Juno by name. It became clear that she had put aside a quietly burning passion for far too long.
It was time for her music to be rekindled into a full blown fire.
And so became RedFeather. Proceed with caution when listening to her songs. After all, hers is the voice from the unknown, from the one who knows. She is the voice of the subconscious and it is known to breathe life back into long-forgotten dreams and thoughts tucked in the deepest corners of one’s mind.
The Songs
RedFeather has a penchant for turning one’s innermost longings inside out and does so with hair-raising command and clarity. While her music is clearly a sojourn into the fragility of the human condition, ever present is the certainty of things unseen, the thread that connects us to the Divine.
In fact, your ears may well refuse to shut until all these songs are released.
An introduction to RedFeather’s first single.
Judgement opens with much urgency, a war cry and then the rush of what sounds like the world falling apart. Both triumphant and terrifying, RedFeather succinctly brings to life what it feels like to stand at the edge of conformity before jumping into the sea of authenticity. What begins as apocalyptic steers towards the sound of dawn as RedFeather reassures the listener that the world rebuilds itself (much stronger and better) for those who finally dare to seek, and speak, their truth.
