HONOR 200 Review: A Wide Look at It’s Features, Performance, and Value

“This is actually my second time reviewing an HONOR phone. First was the HONOR X6a last November. And now that I have the chance to review another model, I want to express my gratitude once more and say how truly honored I am.”

The HONOR 200 is designed to offer a solid smartphone experience without breaking the bank. It is somehow, not that pricey but positioned as a mid-range device, aiming to balance performance, features, and price effectively. So let me take you to my full review below as you go along reading.

MJT’s First Impression and Review

First on the list, it has a modern design with a sleek, slim profile. It typically features a large, vibrant display with slim bezels, providing an immersive viewing experience. The build quality is generally good, with a mix of glass and metal that feels sturdy and premium for its class. Yes, the design is very classy, particularly the Emerald Green color, of which I reviewed. The colors are vibrant, and the brightness is adequate for most lighting conditions, making it suitable for media consumption and casual gaming.

Next is the Camera. The HONOR 200 generally features a versatile camera setup, including a primary sensor with decent resolution and additional lenses for various shooting modes (such as ultrawide or macro). The camera quality is respectable for its class, producing good results in well-lit conditions. Here are some photos of my family, taken from the HONOR 200 using the Portrait Mode, Harcourt Classic. Indeed, such an elegant, and melodramatic look.

The Battery Life: Battery life is another strong suit of the HONOR 200. It supports fast charging, which helps in quickly topping up the battery when needed. When I first used the HONOR 200 and charged it with only 10% battery remaining, it lasted only for just about 30-40 minutes. The charging speed was incredibly fast and impressive!

Sound | Audio: I am very particular about the sound and audio because I usually cover the performance of my “bagets” who are part of the praise and worship ministry every, Sunday during our worship service. Surprisingly, HONOR 200 is better than the first one I reviewed. It has a loud and clear audio, not a “tunog lata” one, and the video as well. Salute on that! I definitely enjoyed it. Here below is a sample video:

Gaming: The HONOR 200 is a solid choice for gaming enthusiasts seeking a budget-friendly option. My “bunso” can play Mobile Legends, and so I asked her to try it on HONOR 200.  As for her, it gives a smooth and enjoyable experience for casual gamers like her. The display offers a a vibrant colors and has a refreshing visual experience, in short “hindi sha nag la-lag,” according to her. Battery life is also commendable, lasting through extended gaming sessions.
